PokerStars has lengthy been a champion of girls in poker. In addition to sponsoring several of the game’s best female players more than the years, such as Vanessa Selbst and Liv Boeree, the site hosts females-only MTTs. It will now build on these efforts and show girls that cards aren’t the only way into the poker sector. Alongside Ladies Who Code, PokerStars is aiming to boost female representation inside the tech sector.

PokerStars’ Rebecca McAdam Willetts said the aim is to create a world where ladies are proportionally represented at all levels, from executives to computer software engineers. The partnership will see PokerStars branding attached to Women Who Code’s newsletters and social media posts. There will also be blog posts dedicated to the opportunities for women at PokerStars, and in poker in common. Ultimately, PokerStars will participate in events hosted by Girls Who Code.

PokerStars is the 1st gambling company to companion with Ladies Who Code, but it’s not the only main corporation supporting the organization’s efforts. In 2021 alone, Females Who Code worked to generate new opportunities in tech partnered with Home Depot, IONOS, and Arch Capital, among other people.

PokerStars will join this list and raise awareness inside poker and the gambling business at big.

Women who code also play poker

The quantity of ladies in poker has been steadily growing over the last decade. Organizations such as the Poker League of Nations and Poker Power have produced safe spaces exactly where females can discover the game.
